17 Nov 1993	- Fixed bug in FXREAD when used with AVERAGE keyword on
		  non-IEEE compatible machines.  Also fixed bug with
		  subsampling floating point data on VAX machines.

29 Oct 1993	- Added error messages to FXBREAD and FXBCOLNUM.

21 Jul 1993	- Fixed bug with variable length arrays.  WARNING: Before this
		  date the software did not handle variable length arrays
		  correctly.

 2 Jul 1993	- Added function FXBCOLNUM.

 1 Jul 1993	- Added functions FXBHEADER, FXBISOPEN, FXBSTATE.

12 Apr 1993	- Changed documentation headers to be compatible with the CDS
		  library.

21 Jan 1993	- Renamed procedures to be compatible with DOS filename
		  limitations.  Now the first eight characters of each filename
		  is unique.

19 Oct 1992	- Fixed bug in WHERENAN.

18 Oct 1992	- Rewrote SXPAR to support nonstandard lines in header, and
		  renamed to FXPAR.  Changed all routines to use this instead
		  of SXPAR.

18 Sep 1992	- Added keywords EXTVER and EXTLEVEL to FXBHMAKE.

13 Aug 1992	- Changed FXREAD, FXWRITE to support BSCALE, BZERO better.
		  Made changes to miscellaneous routines to trap attempts to
		  read non-FITS files earlier.  Rename fxbintable.cmn to
		  fxbintable.pro

24 Jun 1992	- Added BSCALE, BZERO support to FXREAD.  Fixed bug in FXBREAD.

19 Jun 1992	- Speeded up the way FXBREAD reads a series of rows.

19 Jun 1992	- Renamed FXWHERENAN to WHERENAN.

29 May 1992	- Added FXREAD routine to read all or part of a FITS primary
		  array.

12 May 1992	- Added tape writer routines FXTAPEWRITE and FXTAPEIO_WRITE.

 5 May 1992	- Changed FXWRITE and FXTAPEIO_READ to create the file with
		  2880 byte fixed-length records (VMS).  The software here does
		  not depend on this file configuration, but other FITS readers
		  might.

 1 Apr 1992	- Added tape reader routines FXTAPEREAD and FXTAPEIO_READ.
